Motorola Edge 30 Ultra
The price of Motorola Edge 30 Ultra starts from 900 USD, in Egypt it comes at 17,590 EGP, and in Saudi Arabia at 3,182 SAR for the 128 GB + 8 GB RAM model. It is available in Black color called (Interstellar Black) and white color called (Starlight White).
For many years now, Motorola has either been avoiding the flagship phone scene altogether, or dipping its toes with faint hearts and failing to make a noticeable impact. However, it appears that there are new changes to the company's phones due to the introduction of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra premium flagship.
Unlike the previously launched Edge Plus (2022), the Edge 30 Ultra has a lot to do when it comes to justifying its premium price starting at €899.99. From an all-new design that gives the phone an elegant look, to the cutting-edge specifications that make it rival the flagship smartphones of 2022.
The phone comes with a curved POLED screen with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 with a refresh rate of 144Hz, HDR10+ certification, and a brightness of 1250 nits.
By taking advantage of the display's highly curved edges, Motorola has added a bezel feature to light up in one of five different colors whenever you receive notifications with the phone lying down with the screen facing down. Admittedly, this looks great, especially in a dark environment. However, we still do not recommend placing your phone on its screen unless it is on a soft surface.
As for the camera system with this Motorola flagship, you will get a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP selfie camera (2x Telephoto), and an amazing 60MP selfie camera on the front!
We are particularly pleased to see that there is no 2-Megapixel depth sensor on this premium device, as we saw with the Edge Plus (2022).
The 200MP main camera can capture more light by combining 16 pixels (also called pixel binning) into one 2.56µm, which Motorola claims provides sharp and bright images even in dark conditions. Additionally, you get Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) with the main camera sensor.
The 200-Megapixel sensor also contributes to the Edge 30 Ultra's ability to shoot 8K video and 4K HDR+ videos in full compliance with the phone's support for HDR10+ content.
Moreover, the 50MP ultra-wide camera can act as a macro camera using the built-in Macro Vision mode, allowing you to get as close as 3cm to the subject you want to photograph.
