In addition to the launch of the Reno 5 5G from Oppo, the Chinese company presented two larger versions with the names Reno 5 Pro and Pro Plus, and the Reno 5 Pro has a 90Hz Super AMOLED screen with a Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ processor in addition to SuperVOOC 2.0 charging technology and a quad-lens rear camera.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro Specifications:
- The phone has a slim body with a length of 159.7 mm with a width of 73.2 mm and a thickness of up to 7.6 mm, and the weight is estimated at 173 grams.
- The essence of the phone design did not differ from its younger brother, but the flat screen was replaced with a curved screen with a hole in the top left that contains the front camera. The back of the phone is presented with a fingerprint-resistant surface with a fluorescent coating on the rear camera frame that glows in the dark to give a distinctive aesthetic touch to the phone As for the manufacturing materials, they are made of aluminum for the frame, with the front end and the back being reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

- Available in two versions in terms of RAM and internal storage space, the first provides 8 GB with 128 GB internal storage space and the second has 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, the RAM is LDDR4x, as for the storage space, it is as fast as UFS 2.1.
- The phone is powered by OPPO's own ColorOS 11.1 interface, which is based on Android 11.
- Under the back cover there is a non-rechargeable 4350 mAh lithium-polymer battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging from Oppo and supports reverse charging (from one phone to another).
- The phone has a USB Type-C 3.1 port with support for the OTG feature, which allows the flash to be connected directly to the phone or various USB devices. Unfortunately, Oppo has sacrificed the 3.5 mm jack for headphones.

Camera
The Reno 5 Pro mobile packs a quad rear camera paired with an LED flash. The first camera provides a resolution of 64 Megapixels with an f / 1.7 lens slot and is used for basic photography with support for PDAF autofocus, and the second camera has an accuracy of 8 Megapixels f / 2.2 and is used to take wide-angle photos of up to 115 degrees, As for the third and fourth camera, they are 2-Megapixels and f/2.4 aperture, but one is used for macro photography and the other is dedicated to improving the isolation or portrait mode experience.
The rear camera supports 4K video shooting at 30 frames per second and supports 1080P shooting with 30 or 60 clips per second in the presence of an electronic EIS stabilizer.
The front camera comes in the form of a small “hole” at the top left of the screen, which is 32 Megapixels with an f / 2.4 lens slot, supports HDR, and only shoots FHD videos, but with an electronic stabilizer as well, EIS.
Oppo emphasizes HD video recording capabilities but does not support 4k@60fps video recording. So the company is hoping that AI Highlight Video will make up for that.
The video is enhanced by AI that analyzes the scene (much like the artificial intelligence used in still images) but is used for video, and the phone also has a night mode that enables you to record good shots in low light.

The Reno5 Pro 5G is one of the first few smartphones to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, a 7nm octa-core CPU that can run up to 2.6GHz, giving you an overall smooth experience.
However, in our use of the phone during our testing, we experienced no delays in responding to commands, no hitches during use, and performance was consistently good.
Most importantly, we will not detect problems with the mobile heating up even when playing games or using the camera. We have tried games like Asphalt 9, Shadow fight 3, PUBG and many others and the results are outstanding unlike phones like Samsung Galaxy S21 FE which overheat when playing any of the previous games.

Operating system and user interface
Recently, ColorOS has become one of the best custom interfaces on Android mobiles. Reno 5 Pro comes with Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1.
There are tons of customization options right from the home screen icons to notification drawer icons and more. There are even three types of system-wide dark modes available.
As it is based on Android 11, you get all the features like chat bubbles, updated notifications, nearby sharing, and new app permissions to access your camera, location, and microphone.
In terms of pre-loaded apps, the phone comes with the usual apps like SoLoop, WPS Office, YT Music, OPPO Relax, HeyTap Cloud, etc.
These applications can be uninstalled, but you should be aware that they come pre-installed with the phone, so they will be reinstalled again if you reset the phone.
OPPO Reno 5 Pro 5G offers the usual options for biometric security. The under-display optical type fingerprint sensor and during my review I found it to be fast and accurate enough, very similar to the fingerprint sensor found in premium flagship smartphones. Speaking of fingerprint, you can store up to 5 fingerprints max.

Oppo finally delivers a good phone. But despite the great work that the company does in this series, it is not known for its mid-range phones mainly because of its relatively high prices.
But the Oppo Reno5 Pro 5G is not far from the competition. In fact, the mobile offers high-end performance when compared to phones like Samsung A52 Or OnePlus Nord or Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro 5G.
