Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G - Octa-core chipset announced on May 19, 2021, manufactured using 6nm process technology. It has 1 Kryo 670 Prime (Cortex-A78) core at 2400MHz, 3 Kryo 670 Gold (Cortex-A78) cores at 2200MHz, and 4 Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) cores at 1900MHz.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G (SDM778G 5G Mobile Platform) is a mid-range processor, widely used on Android smartphones and tablets.
The processor integrates eight cores divided into two groups. Fast performance cluster with four cores based on ARM Cortex-A78 architecture with up to 2.4GHz and power efficiency cluster with four small ARM Cortex-A55 cores up to 1.8GHz.
Depending on the workload, only groups of one or all cores can operate at different clock speeds.
Thanks to the new Cortex-A78 cores, CPU performance is increased by up to 40% compared to the old Snapdragon 768G processor according to Qualcomm. As per our standards, the 778G is capable of reaching the same performance as the high-end old chip offered by Huawei (Kirin 990).
The built-in X53 5G modem supports up to 3.3Gbps with sub-6GHz. The FastConnect 6900 Wi-Fi modem supports the current 6GHz Wi-Fi 6e standard.
The onboard Qualcomm Adreno 642L processor delivers 40% higher performance compared to the previous Adreno 620. This is in part thanks to the fast memory controller with LPDDR5-3200 support.
The 6th generation Hexagon 770 onboard AI engine delivers 2X optimization and performance up to 12 TOPS. Spectra 570 ISP (Image Signal Processor) supports up to three cameras. The satellite system comes with support for all major standards such as Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS and GPS.
