MediaTek Dimensity 8050
MediaTek Dimensity 8050 – Octa-core chipset announced on May 9, 2023. The chipset is manufactured based on the TSMC 6 NM processing node, and is equipped with a 5G modem and an octa-core architecture. It has four fast Cortex-A78 cores, which include a Super Core at up to 3GHz and three cores at up to 2.6GHz, in addition to four Cortex-A55 cores.
Dimensity 8050 features the powerful Arm Mali-G77 GPU with nine dedicated graphics cores. Additionally, it supports up to 4K video capture, enabling the phones to capture images of up to 200MP with up to 20% faster night photography than previous models in the Dimensity series.
The processor provides manufacturers with the flexibility to design smartphones with screens up to Full HD+ and a refresh rate of 168Hz.
The new chipset appeared for the first time on the Tecno Camon 20 Premier phone, and it is used on many smartphones today, such as: Infinix Note 30 VIP, as well as Tecno Camon 20 Pro 5G, and others.
