TCL phones usually have good manufacturing quality and high-quality manufacturing materials. Although the TCL 20L is made of plastic for both the back and the frame, it has a high degree of durability, and a glass protection layer was placed on the screen, but the company did not announce the version used.

TCL used a full screen with very small edges, as the screen occupies 91% of the total front-end area, which gives more comfort in use and control with a decent modern look

It is worth noting that the screen offers an average brightness of 500nits, which is a very suitable number for an average phone.

the performance:

The performance part was clearly neglected in the phone, as it was paired with a processing chip that is not in line with its price or category, as it is found in economic phones at about half the price of the phone, such as the Poco M3.

TCL 20L enables you to get acceptable performance in daily tasks and browsing, but you will not get satisfactory performance in heavy tasks or in high-graphics games such as Pupg and COD. It is worth noting that this processing chip was manufactured with an accuracy of 11 nanometers and contains eight cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 gigahertz.

Camera:

The phone packs a quad-lens rear camera, the first camera is available with 48 Megapixels with an f / 2.0 lens slot that supports PDAF autofocus and is used for basic photography, the second camera is located with an accuracy of 8 Megapixels and an f / 2.2 lens slot and is used for ultrawide photography at an angle of up to 118 degrees .

The front camera is set with a 16-Megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens slot that supports HDR and can shoot FHD videos.

Battery:

The phone battery is large with a capacity of 5000 mAh of non-removable Li-Polymer type, the battery can last for a full day of hard work and does not need to be recharged more than once a day.

The shortcoming here was the charging speed of 18 watts. It is not considered the appropriate number for a phone whose price exceeds 4000 EGP. Its battery is of that size as well. We see Redmi Note 10 Pro with 33 watts and Galaxy A52 with 25 watts, and the phone may take about two hours, only a quarter of it, to reach from 0% to 100%.

The price of the phone is 230 EUR, or about 275 USD, which is equivalent to 4300 EGP, and it is expected that the phone will be launched in the Egyptian market during the coming period.

The TCL 20L would have been one of the best mid-range options if it was supported by a more powerful processor such as Snapdragon 732G, Snapdragon 730 or even Helio G95 processor from MediaTek, with a higher charging speed even if 25W.

Unfortunately, TCL sacrificed all of that and did not support its phone with a clear point of distinction that makes it superior to any of its competitors, so the TCL 20L will not be your appropriate choice in that price category, but if the price of the mobile is reduced a little, things may differ as it will come within the lower-than-average category.
