Contra: Operation Galuga review

Contra: Operation Galuga is the game that all players who attended the old consoles remember. It reminds us of the past and gives us a completely new experience, but with the same taste of the past.

The game has been greatly developed over the previous generation, and you can now access different stages, completely reimagined, but with the same wonderful music and sounds that remind us of childhood.

Story

The story of Contra, which centers on an alien with a paramilitary force, the Red Falcon, that is developing weapons to kill all humans on Earth.

The story is told through recorded voices that are displayed over some graphics which may take a while to reach the point of being a bit boring, it may be a bit annoying to have to sit through the entire conversation that stops running, shooting and progressing in the different stages, especially if you You play the game a second time because you lost before.

You and up to three other friends will make your way through familiar levels, like the waterfall stage with the alien, the ice train ride stage, and even the part where you end up inside the body of a huge alien to do battle against the big guy.

Game Play

The game includes five characters including 2 robot characters, and in addition to three difficulty settings, you'll also get a three-point health bar by default, which is uncommon for the series.

Each character has points through gameplay that can be spent on upgrades. Some are limited to the individual soldier, such as Bill Rizer's extremely useful invulnerability while dashing, or Lance Bean's increased jumping height. You can also gain the ability to keep weapons after death, which greatly reduces the difficulty of the game

Developed at the 2.5D level, the camera occasionally moves around new angles and dynamically during certain boss clashes, recalling Contra: Shattered Soldier's most exciting moments.

Conclusion

The game is very wonderful, and yes, it reminds you of the original game that we played in childhood, but it has been developed well to suit the new generation, and it is very fun, and can be played more than once without getting bored.

Here are some pictures from inside the game:-
